Blood Orange marmalade by Cascina Bonifiglio

Opening a jar of blood orange marmalade is like opening a chest that contains a deep red treasure.

It is the very essence of Sicily. Its scent surprises you with the perfect balance between sweet and pungent, which tickles the nostrils and invades them with its citrus character. Its flavor envelops you with its natural sugary notes that contrast with the sporadic peaks of bitterness.

The Fruit

The blood orange marmalade tastes of fruit, because we prepare it by putting in each jar 110% of the pulp of the best oranges of the Sicilian IGP certified blood orange varieties such as Moro, tarocco and Sanguinello, or the precious and ancient Belladonna.

The fruit is strictly harvested within the first ten days of March, when oranges are juicier and tastier.

Characteristics

We believe that jam should only taste like fruit, and our job is to enhance it.

In each jar we only put fruit peeled by hand, cooked at very low temperatures and vacuum packed to preserve all the properties of the freshly picked fruit.

The only addition is that of the peel which, left in cold water for a couple of days, gives the jam more flavor and aroma.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
