Quince jam by Cascina Bonfiglio

On the island, quince jam is the jam par excellence, which has the flavor of childhood and an authentic life. If you've tried it, you know what it is. If you have never tried it, it is difficult to explain.

Feel its sweet scent, admire its orange-pink color, enjoy its flavor and its sugary texture: try it with sweets or combined with meat dishes; or at the end of the meal, accompanied by a sweet wine.

The Fruit

Quince is one of the most symbolic fruits of Sicily.

Not only because the most iconic oranges and lemons arrived on the island many years before, but also because like its people, the plant is also tenacious and adapts to the most difficult conditions.

The result is a fruit halfway between pear and apple, with a yellow or light green color and hard and fleshy pulp, with a sour taste that however reveals an extraordinary flavor when sweetened.

Characteristics

To make 100g of jam we use 90% quince apples from southern Italy and especially Sicily, to give you a product that smells of Mediterranean history, tradition and ancient flavors.

Health Benefits

Quince is a poor food, but also very rich. It is of vitamins and minerals, of fibers and proteins.

It is an excellent protector of the intestinal mucosa, a natural disinfectant and an excellent anti-inflammatory. Furthermore, if cooked, it has an effective regulating action on the intestine.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
