Amarone della Valpociella Classico D.O.C.G 2017 'Salvaterra'
Grape Variety:
Corvina 60%, Corvinone 10%, Rondinella 25%, other varieties of the territory 5%
Terroir
This is our Valpolicella: on the slopes of these valleys, we grow the most famous native grapes of the Veronese region - Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, along with a few other minor varieties. It is no coincidence that in the past these places were known as "the gardens of Verona": the landscape's serene beauty, the elegant palaces and the rich and varied cultivation of this land have made it a pleasure to work and live here since ancient times.
Vinification
Drying of the grapes for 3 months, traditional fermentation on the skins with maceration of 4-5 weeks
Maturation
Oak barrels and tonneaux for 3 years, then rest then bottling.
Tasting Notes
Amarone Classico has maintained unchanged its typicality, so that “the essence of the territory” of Valpolicella powerfully emerges without excessive residual sugar. It is a product with personality and a great structure but which is also able to convey elegance and depth upon tasting, in addition to a great complexity.
In the palate it is rich and deep, elegant and potent at the same time, still young but already very balanced, with the typical notes of cherry and black currant that blend well with the complexity of the wine.Colour
intense ruby red with garnet reflections
Nose
Enveloping, vanilla with hints of coffee, cocoa, spices
ABV
15%
Consumption
Wine to be drunk over 10-12 years at a temperature of 18 ° C. uncork 2/4 hours before consumption
Pairing
Red meat, grilled meats, game, fermented cheeses, meditation and fireplace wine

Happy feedback from happy customers
Coming from an Italian family I am super picky about my olive oil and this has become a kitchen staple. Love it.
"Recently enjoyed two sumptuous red wines from Sitalia deli including Niccoló Grippaldi ‘Dei Pinti a superb red, full bodied & complex."
The coffee Pods (compatible with Nespresso) are the best flavour we have had. We have bought many products from Sitalia deli.
